Due to iOS restrictions, the process isn’t as effortless as Mac, but possible nonetheless. This post shows you how to save multiple clipboards on iPhone and access them whenever required. Follow the below steps to save multiple clipboards.

1. Use any notes App Clipboard on iPhone

You can paste your current clipboard contents into any notes app you have open on your iPhone, including Apple Notes, Simplenote, Evernote, Google Keep, etc. Then, to maintain your past and present clipboards, you can open the same note once more and paste the new item there after you have copied it. It’s not an easy strategy, but it’s something you should be aware of (or, most likely, already know).

2. Using clipboard shortcuts on iPhone

Bring content into a shortcut by using the Get Clipboard action. When an app doesn’t allow sharing, you can copy the desired content to the clipboard and use an Apple Watch shortcut or the Shortcuts widget to process or send it elsewhere. here’s a way to access the clipboard on iPhone;

  1. Launch the iPhone Shortcuts app.
  2. Select “Gallery” from the menu.
  3. Browse for “Adjust Clipboard” and choose it.
  4. Select “Add Shortcut” from the menu.
  5. To find your shortcut, return to the “My Shortcuts” tab.
  6. To edit the contents of your clipboard, tap the shortcut for “Adjust Clipboard.”

3. Use SwiftKey to access and save your past Clipboard on iPhone

Microsoft’s SwiftKey is one of the most popular third-party keyboards for the iPhone and iPad. Several users have been using it for many years because of its excellent suggestions, optional number row, themes, and a built-in clipboard manager.

Here’s how to access, manage, and save current or previous clipboards on your iPhone or iPad using SwiftKey:

1) Download SwiftKey, launch it, and follow the setup instructions. You must select SwiftKey under iPhone Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard. Tap SwiftKey after that to grant full access.

2) Once everything is set up, launch notes or another app that displays a keyboard. Now select SwiftKey as your iPhone keyboard preference instead of the default Apple keyboard by pressing the globe or emoji icon.

3) On your iPhone, copy any text or links to save them to the iOS clipboard.

4) Click the tiny plus sign (+) at the bottom of any screen or app where the SwiftKey keyboard appears.

Note: Repeat step 2 if the Apple keyboard appears, or make SwiftKey your default keyboard.

5) Tap the icon for the clipboard.

6) Select “Save.” Your SwiftKey keyboard will now permanently store this clipboard.

7) To access your saved clipboards, go through steps 4 and 5. To paste or insert it, just tap the clipboard icon after that.

Tap Delete after swiping left to remove the clipboard. To manage the order of your saved clipboards, tap Edit last. By going to Settings > Clipboard in the SwiftKey app, you can also view and manage all of your clipboards.

Who Can Use the SwiftKey Clipboard on iPhone?
people who are at ease with switching to a different keyboard and completely changing their typing habits. individuals who frequently need to use fixed sentences or lines.

4. Use iPhone clipboard manager apps to save and access multiple clipboard entries.

For some users, it’s not an option to use any other keyboard besides SwiftKey. You might not feel comfortable leaving the iOS keyboard (or one of your favorite third-party keyboards) and switching to an app you don’t know much about just to type. You might not want to use these apps. And SwiftKey does what they do already (mentioned above).

Some apps will ask you to tap a few buttons inside the app to save your clipboard. So, this meant that I had to copy something to the clipboard, open the clipboard app, tap the plus sign, paste what was in the clipboard, and save. You can see that there are a lot of steps there. So, I also didn’t use these apps.

I finally found apps that let me skip all the extra steps. Just opening the app saves what’s on your clipboard. There’s nothing else you need to do. And you have to open the app because iOS has privacy rules that say an app can only read and use your clipboard when you open the app. Also, even in the free version, these apps have almost no or very few ads.

Here’s how to use a clipboard app on an iPhone to save and access multiple past clipboards:

1) It’s free to get Oneboard.

2) If you copy any text, it will be saved to the clipboard on your iPhone.

3) Open Oneboard and click “Clipboard.” The app saves the text on your clipboard without you having to do anything.

4) Use your iPhone and copy useful text to the clipboard when you find it.

5) Open OneBoard again, and the app will save what’s in the clipboard by itself. You will also see your old clipboard there. You can follow the steps above again and again to save more than one old clipboard.

6) Open Oneboard and tap on one of the entries to get to these clipboards. It is copied right away to your clipboard, where you can paste it wherever you want.

To delete a saved clipboard or share it, press it inside Oneboard and choose the option you want.

Tap “List,” then tap “Clipboard” again. If the app doesn’t show you the clipboard you just saved right away,

Other free iPhone clipboard apps:
Here are three more iOS clipboard manager apps that let you save your current clipboard, keep track of your past clipboards, and access them:

  • Clipboard Grabber: When you open the app, it saves your clipboard. But you have to tap the clipboard and then choose Copy to copy a saved clipboard. In Oneboard, all you have to do is tap the clipboard to copy something.
  • Clip Board: To save your clipboard, you have to open the app and tap Save. But a saved clipboard can be copied with just one tap. This app is different because it lets you add widgets to the Today View. So, you can see the clipboards you’ve saved and copy them right away without having to open the app.
  • Clipboarder: When you open the app, your clipboard is saved. But it takes more than one step to copy it. It’s useful if you want to quickly save your clipboards and change them later.

CONCLUSION

Launching a third-party clipboard manager app is all it takes to save more than one clipboard. You can get to these clipboards from the app and use them elsewhere in the future. When you copy something else, you won’t lose your important clipboards this way.

I won’t advise saving your credit card information or any other sensitive data on any third-party apps that you are unsure of. Instead, go to iPhone Settings > Safari > AutoFill > Saved Credit Cards > Add Credit Card to save your card information. When you use this card on a website in Safari, the information will automatically fill in for you.
